FAQ
Questions and answers
Straight answers about how TeleAgent works today.
Getting started
What is TeleAgent?
TeleAgent is a web workspace for teams that talk to people on Telegram. It connects several Telegram user accounts, gives each one a persona and knowledge base, and brings all private conversations into one inbox, where your team replies itself, with AI suggestions, or lets the AI answer.
Does TeleAgent use bots?
No. TeleAgent connects regular Telegram user accounts, the same way a Telegram app does, so conversations continue in the account people already write to.
Is TeleAgent an official Telegram product?
No. TeleAgent is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram.
Do I need my own Telegram API keys?
No. You only log in to your Telegram accounts with their phone number and login code (and the two-step password, if set).
AI and automation
Will the AI reply on its own?
Only where you allow it. Every conversation starts in Human mode. In Assist mode the AI only drafts replies for your team. In AI mode it answers new incoming messages, at most once per message and within per-account limits.
How quickly does the AI answer?
Automatic replies are checked every few minutes by a scheduler, so they are not instant. Your team can also trigger a check for a conversation manually.
Can TeleAgent send bulk or cold messages?
No. The AI never starts a conversation. Outreach is not part of TeleAgent today.
What does community scheduling do?
An account can take part in the groups and supergroups you assign, on a schedule you set. Each cycle writes at most one short message as the persona, or nothing. It never joins chats, writes in channels or sends private messages.
Can the AI see photos and files?
No. Your team sees and sends photos and files in the inbox (up to 4 MB). The AI only gets a short label such as “photo” plus the caption, and it is told it cannot see the attachment.
Safety and control
How are Telegram sessions protected?
Sessions are encrypted with AES-256-GCM on the server and are never sent to the browser. A stored session is restored without asking for a new login code.
Can I stop automation at any time?
Yes. Pausing an account stops its automatic activity immediately. It never logs the account out, and the inbox and manual replies keep working.
What happens if Telegram asks an account to slow down?
Automatic activity of that account waits until Telegram allows it again. Manual replies stay possible and show Telegram’s waiting time if they are refused.
Can several people work in one workspace?
Workspaces have roles: owners and admins configure the workspace, operators work in the inbox and on leads, and members can view. Inviting team members from within the app is not available yet.
Which languages are supported?
The interface is available in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish. Each persona has a preferred language and can follow the language of the person it talks to.
